Enshored partners with SAFER to support the Philippines amid pandemic

Enshored, together with the non-profit organization Shared Aid Fund for Emergency Response (SAFER), reacted promptly to bring aid to those most badly affected by the latest typhoons in  November.  These efforts continue the charitable activities initiated by the company’s CEO, Ian Jackson, initially to assist with the Covid-19 response.

SAFER Foundation, and its partners, have done the on-ground needs assessment and identified three communities most badly hit by the typhoons.

Enshored have donated over $40k in response, to be used initially in the following badly hit areas:

  • San Fernando, Camsur – to provide food, hygiene kits, and vegetable seedlings to the 250 beneficiaries to restore the vegetation and healthy soils together with the Coalition Bicol Development (CBD);
  • Libmanan, Camsur – to provide sleeping kits to 275 beneficiaries together with the Dioceses Social Action Center (DSAC) Libmanan;
  • Catanduanes Island – to provide food kits good for two weeks to 165 beneficiaries together with the People’s Disaster Risk Reduction Network (PDRRN).

The number of beneficiaries indicated above is per family. So in total, we will be able to help 690 families in this project. Enshored has also donated to multiple communities affected by the pandemic already this year, such as donating tablets and portable wifis to students to support their online education.

“As a company, we are now focusing on where else Enshored can make a positive contribution to the response and recovery, both from Coronavirus and the strong typhoons that hit Luzon severely since November”

CEO Ian Jackson
